A Little HistoryI wanted to introduce Luminata to you, her current and future fans. First of all, Luminata is a nickname for Jessica Kleinfeld. How did she get her nickname? Well, she is friends with the Romani, or gypsies, and they call her Luminata from the beginning of the book. I can't give away all the secrets, but you'll discover why she got this nickname in the book. I promise. Yes, you may recognize the lovely lady pictured above. It is the amazing Emilia Clarke, my inspiration for how Jessica looks. When I went looking for a picture of Jessica, a brunette Emilia struck me as the most similar to what I pictured Jessi looking like. Is she an exact match? Probably not, but that's up to the imagination of you, the reader, to decide. Jessi, as her close friends call her, grew up in and around the Reischats castle with her parents. Her parents work for the Lord and Lady Reischats as their personal staff. Jessi has been training with her mother to take over those responsibilities one day. Jessi had siblings who died in the plague when she was a young girl. Her parents treasure her not only because of this, but because Jessi grew up knowing the responsibilities to keep a castle running and helps whenever she can. Jessi dreams of exploring the world with her Romani friends. Little does she realize how naive a thought that is. Don't get her wrong, she doesn't do it on purpose, she just has little exposure to life outside of the castle. Jessica's Transformation She'll learn plenty about herself and the world around her on her journey from when the castle sinks to the bottom of a crater lake and she has to rescue all she holds close in her heart. Just wait to see the epic battle between Luminata and the power hungry sorceress at the end of the first novel. Want More? Want to read what else I've got about the novel so far?
