Wow! It's official! You can now search my name on Google, Yahoo, and even Bing and my website comes up. My geeky nerd heart is overflowing. It's almost like Christmas came early this year.
I've been working hard to complete Luminata so that it can be ready to be presented to the world. I've almost completed the first draft and then it will be time for revision. I've got a couple people interested in being a beta reader, but I could use a couple more. I'm looking at the best format for me to be able to do this. If you're interested please send me a comment on my contact page with Beta Reader in it and your email address and I will keep you updated. Now I have to work hard to keep everyone interested and coming back. Back to the keyboard I go.

I know, some of you have asked me, "What is this book that you're writing? What's it all about?" So, here's a quick answer.
Luminata is a Fantasy Fiction novel. Here's the gist: Jessica Kleinfeld discovers magic when a Romani curse mingles badly with sorcery and sinks her village below the waters of a lake. Humans, Fairies, Sparks, Kynafyl, and Romani all come together to defeat the sorceress bent on becoming the most powerful being in the realm. But at what price? So now you've read my nugget. What do you think? Wondering what the Romani, Sparks, and Kynafyl are? Romani are better known to most of us as gypsies. They are nomadic families that are rich in culture and heritage. They are an amazing group of people to learn about. Believe me I've learned tons about the culture and language researching for this series. Oops, I mean book. Sparks are some of my dad's favorites. They are fireflies and they live among the fairies. They're a little more fun loving and don't follow nearly as many rules as the Fae do so they can do whatever they feel like. They are a little mischievous. The Kynafyl. I don't want to give away all my secrets yet. But what I can tell you right now is that they are an ancient race of shape shifters with immense powers. They're also an endangered race. So? What do you think so far? Did I pique your interest? Please leave comments below and I promise to get back to you. Come back for updates on the book and I'll work to make your time worth it. If there's something you're dying to hear about just let me know. You can follow me here in this blog, check out my Facebook page; or email me. I'd love to hear from you and I appreciate feedback. Talk to you soon! - Yvonne |
